Should your child or a member of the household develop symptoms of COVID 19, i.e. a continuous cough and/or a fever with a temperature of over 37.8 or above and/or or a loss or change to normal taste or smell, then your child and your household must self-isolate and the person with symptoms must book a test. Please notify school of these arrangements.
Dear Parents and Guardians,
May I take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and understanding in coping with the additional requirements requested from us by national government, especially in the wearing of face coverings when entering and exiting the school grounds at drop-off and pick-up times.
As schools we have prided ourselves on putting measures in place that keep children and adults as safe as possible in school, whether that be altering the classroom environment or structure of the school day. The new government guidance for this lockdown period has meant that we have had to temporarily suspend our extra-curricular clubs as advised by PHE, but we very much look forward to being able to re-instate these when lockdown ends.
The children have been fabulous, as they always are, at keeping themselves and others safe by always remembering to wash hands, only using their own dedicated resources, remaining in their bubbles and minimising movement around school. In my recent Zoom assembly they were excellent at remembering all of the safety measures we have put in place.
We must remain vigilant to the risks of the pandemic and continue to take every precaution possible to ensure our schools are able to remain open for our children throughout the term. Please do follow guidance around testing and attendance; it is always better to err on the side of caution.
Finally, may I once again thank everyone in our community for the support we provide for each other. In these unprecedented times, it is more than a courtesy; it is a necessity and is very much appreciated by us all.
